Antonio Molina joined PMA in 2000 and is a member in the Corporate Department. Antonio’s practice is concentrated in commercial lending, secured transactions, real estate law, acquisitions and dispositions, real estate development, hospitality and general corporate law. He has represented various financial institutions and borrowers in lending transactions, including syndicated financing deals. Antonio’s experience in real estate includes representing several clients in commercial, residential and tourism projects. He has also represented various clients in the energy and hospitality industries.

Engagements:

  • Represented local and national lenders in the origination, syndication and participation of commercial loans, construction financing and mezzanine loans.
  • Represented Banco Popular de Puerto Rico in the financing of the acquisition of nine major shopping centers located throughout Puerto Rico.
  • Represented the developer in the acquisition, development, financing and real estate planning of Bahía Beach Resort & Golf Club.
  • Represented developers and lenders in the development, financing and construction of numerous hotels, mixed use resorts, residential communitiescondominiums and office buildings.
  • Worked with developers in the acquisition, development, financing and leasing of various shopping centers in Puerto Rico.
  • On going representation of Total Petroleum Puerto Rico Corp. in its sale and leaseback program for dealerships.
  • Represented Barclays Capital in the financing of the P3 privatization of the San Juan Bay Cruise Terminals.
  • Participated as Puerto Rico counsel to lending syndicate led by J.P. Morgan, Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs in connection with the acquisition by Blackstone of approximately 138 marinas across the U.S and Puerto Rico.
  • Represented Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, as administrative agent, in a syndicated non-recourse loan to the Puerto Rico Conservation Trust to finance the purchase of collateralized notes issued by Puerto Rico TollRoads, LLC, the concessionaire of major toll roads in Puerto Rico.
  • Represented local banks from time to time in public finance loans granted to Puerto Rico municipalities.
