The Firm has been an active participant in the structuring of collateralized mortgage obligations and asset-backed securities for the Puerto Rico market. PMA’s attorneys obtained many of the tax rulings that were instrumental in developing the local market for these products and have represented the largest issuers of collateralized mortgage obligations in Puerto Rico. The Firm has represented issuers and underwriters in the issuance and sale of securitized interests in mortgage loans, automobile loans and leases, real estate taxes, and other assets.
