Our attorneys have decades of experience acting as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and trustee’s counsel in connection with the issuance of bonds by Puerto Rico governmental entities. The Firm has participated in most of the largest and most complex bond issues involving the Government of Puerto Rico and its instrumentalities. The Firm’s attorneys also are regularly involved in representing underwriters and government entities in the creation of new financial structures to address special public financing needs. For example, the Firm assisted the government in structuring the securitization of the sales and use tax. Moreover, the Firm acted as disclosure counsel to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in the municipal market’s largest non-investment grade bond issue.

The Firm’s attorneys also have extensive experience representing private clients in municipal finance transactions with the Commonwealth’s local governments.
