Ms. Lorena Y. Gely-Rojas joined PMA’s Litigation Practice Group as an associate in 2023. Her practice focuses on labor and employment litigation in Puerto Rico state and federal courts, as well as administrative forums. Ms. Gely-Rojas received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ninth Volume of the University of Puerto Rico Business Law Journal. As a law student, Ms. Gely-Rojas clerked for Hon. Juan R. Torruella of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Ms. Gely-Rojas also received her B.B.A. in Human Resources Management and Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus. She has published academic articles on security interests over cryptocurrency and other financial topics.

Prior to joining PMA, from 2018 to 2023, Ms. Gely-Rojas worked as a labor and employment associate at a law firm in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where her practice focused on employment law issues, including terminations, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and litigation before federal and Puerto Rico courts, FINRA, and other administrative forums. She also focused on other commercial litigation matters including commercial trade secrets violations, hurricane Maria damages claims, substitution and execution of mortgage notes, among others.
