Ms. García Velázquez joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in 2023. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Legal Ethics Center Award for the highest GPA in Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Legal Aid Clinic, and exemplary demonstrations in dealing and managing clients. Ms. García also won the 28th Edition of the Debate Nacional Don Miguel Velázquez Rivera. Prior to formally joining the firm, Ms. García partook in PMA’s Summer Associate Program for two consecutive years.

While completing her Juris Doctor, she worked as research assistant to Professor Carlos E. Díaz Olivo on Corporate, Family and Tax Law matters. Furthermore, she assisted in the research and editing of Díaz Olivo’s Derecho Tributario: Contribución sobre Ingresos (2023).

She was also an active member of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review, serving as Associate Editor, Senior Editor and Director of In Rev (digital platform of the UPR Law Review) for Volumes XC, XCI and XCII, respectively.

Ms. García has a bachelor’s degree in French and Political Science from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA. During her undergraduate studies, she studied at L’Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) in Paris, France to further develop her French and Francophone studies proficiency.
